2018 CAG Meeting Monday, May 7th

Guest speaker Karen Nolan Bell will present “When Your Writing Ministry Isn’t About Writing.”

Karen Nolan Bell (writing as Karen Lynn Nolan), award-winning writer of Appalachian fiction, mystery/suspense, and memoir, grew up in the coalfields of southeastern Kentucky. Her love of mystery, art, music, and theater took her out of the mountains and into the world of professional theater and music in New York City. Settled in the South again, her debut Appalachian novel, Above the Fog, releases in November 2018. Her popular blog,, explains mountain dialect through photos and stories. Karen’s stories also appear in the anthologies, Stupid Moments, Merry Christmas Moments, soon-to-be-released Coola-nary Moments and Moments with Billy Graham. She also wrote stories for the Christian Authors Guild anthology, Relief Notes. Karen resides in Powder Springs. Contact her at
