One Day workshop for Christian Writers
September 14, 2019
Registration starts at 9 a.m.
Continental Breakfast provided
Guest Speaker: Patricia Holbrook
Patricia Holbrook is the President of Soaring with Him Ministries, author, columnist, wife and mom.
Opening Session: Courageous Faith
In this encouraging message, Patricia draws principles taken from an account hidden in an obscure book of the Bible to encourage you to persevere in your calling, regardless of the obstacles and fears you may face. You will be challenged to allow God to renew your vision… give you a fresh sense of purpose… and steadfast persistence.
“For I am confident in this very thing, that He who started a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.” (Philippians 1:6)
Breakout session: Social Media, Publishing, and Ministry Focus
You have a calling. A calling to write. You have a passion. A passion to share your God-given talents and experiences with a broader audience, whether by writing books, blogging or hosting a podcast. And yet, you may often feel like everyone is passing you on this apparent “race” to get in front of publishers and increase your audience.
In this breakout session, Patricia will talk about Three topics that can be daunting to any writer: Social Media, Publishing and Ministry Focus. Patricia will share a different perspective on ministry growth and calling, a perspective which may be a bit different from what you have ever heard before.
Patricia Holbrook is the President of Soaring with Him Ministries, author, columnist, blogger, wife and mom. Her passion is to encourage her audience to “soar above life’s circumstances” by the power of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. She writes about making beauty out of brokenness, trusting God in the dark, the blessings of obedience and her love for the Savior. Among other places, you can find her writing weekly on her blog, www.soaringwithHim.com. on her weekend column for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (ajc.com), on iDisciple.com and websites such as LifeLetter Cafe, among others. Patricia is also a national and international speaker for women’s events. She is the president of She Soars Women’s Conference – a conference where gifted Bible Teachers challenge women to dig deeper into God’s Word. Patricia is currently attending Covington Seminary, where she is enrolled in their Master’s program in Bible Studies. She lives in Georgia with her husband, two daughters and miniature schnauzer Minnie.
Be encouraged and empowered by Patricia’s two presentations.
